AMDANAF I - ABOUT ME

hanna elin baguley ydw i, ffotograffydd portreadau, tirweddau ac astro o ynys Môn.  dwi wedi tyfy fyny ar yr ynys brydferth hon ac yn teimlo’n tu hwnt o lwcus i fod wedi gallu ffotograffu y pobl a golygfeydd hardd drwy fy lens ar hyd y blynyddoedd.

Cychwynais dynu llyniau yn ifanc wrth fenthyg camera fy nhad.  Cefais fy syfrdanu ganddo, a’r holl olygfeydd ac atgofion y gallwn eu dal a’u trysori.  Wedi laru gyda fi’n dwyn ei gamera, prynodd fy rhieni gamera i mi.  Ers hynny, mae fy hoffter o dynnu llyniau pobl, tirweddau ac awyr y nos wedi ffynnu.

Rydym ni yng Ngogledd Cymru yn ddigon ffodus i fyw mewn ardal awyr dywyll - ardal sy'n ceisio lleihau llygredd golau ac yn hyrwyddo seryddiaeth. Mae astrophotographers yn breuddwydio am ardaloedd fel hyn. Tyfu i fyny Cefais fy atgoffa gan fy nhad am ddyfyniad gan Carl Sagan:

“Mae cyfanswm nifer y sêr yn y Bydysawd yn fwy na holl ronynnau tywod ar holl draethau'r ddaear.”

Dyfyniad y gallaf y nawr basio ymlaen i'm plant fy hun a rhoi’r cyfle i nhw gael gipolwg ar y ser yna drwy eu llygaid eu hunain a fy lens.

I’m Hanna from Hanna Elin Photography. I’m a landscape, astro and portrait photographer from the isle of Anglesey.  I’ve grown up on this beautiful island and feel beyond privileged to be able to capture its beautiful vistas and people through my lens.

I picked up a camera at a young age, my fathers to be exact.  I was fascinated by it, and all the scenes and memories I could capture and treasure.  fed up of me stealing theirs, my parents bought me my own camera.  Since then, my love of photographing people, landscapes and our night sky has flourished.

We in North Wales are lucky enough to live in a dark sky area – an area which attempts to minimize light pollution and promotes astronomy.  An astrophotographers dream.  Growing up I was reminded by my father of a quote by Carl Sagan:

“The total number of stars in the Universe is larger than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of planet earth.”

A quote that I’ve now been able to pass on to my own children and give them a glimpse of the real thing through their own eyes and my lens.
